Elizabeth Stephen goji, gender-based violence advocate, is a dedicated humanitarian and gender-based violence (GBV) champion with about 8 years of experience in promoting women’s empowerment and combating gender-based violence, through creating awareness, sensitization and discussion programs. I have worked with various organizations during the past years which include, family health international FHI360, CHEMONICS international, clear view integrity foundation CVIF, and UNFPA, advancing women’s right and leadership in Adamawa state and Nigeria at large. And my main focus is on gender equality and inclusion, violence against women and girls, community engagement, capacity building to promote gender equality and prevent violence against women and girls. Through my participation in the WLC-COHORT 1, I have led initiatives to increase women’s representation in decision making positions and has trained women on leadership and advocacy skills. As a passionate advocate for women’s right, I am committed to creating a more just and equitable environment where women and girls can feel safe and strive.
